IrisBG can use a locally hosted database or a cloud database service.

• MS SQL Server in a local network for multi-user environments.
• MS SQL Server Express in a local network for smaller databases and few users.
• MS SQL Server Express on a local computer for a single user.

• We offer a hosting service with all database management taken care off.
• Internet broadband connection with fixed public IP address and good line quality and speed is necessary.

• The IrisBG Map module requires an internet connection to access a map provider like Google, Bing or online map services such as ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online with support for WMS/WMTS.
• Maps can also be hosted on a WMS or WMTS (ArcGIS) server in your local network.

The optional web solutions, Web Explorer (Garden Explorer) and Web Store (Index Seminum), require a web server with IIS 6.5 or later and ASP.NET 3.5.

• Data is uploaded from IrisBG to an internal database on the web server.
• For security reasons there is no connection from the web server to your IrisBG database.
