We are looking for a software developer to join our team who will support the improvement and growth of IrisBG in line with technological advancements. The software developer will also support our customers and partners by troubleshooting their software issues.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

This position is remote, contract based and part-time with the potential for full-time.

Resposibilities

• Write clear quality code for software and applications and perform test reviews.
• Develop, implement, and test APIs.
• Provide input on architecture and design for software development projects.
• Detect and troubleshoot software issues.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in botany and a clear understanding of taxonomy and collection management.
• Comfort using programming languages and relational databases.
• Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, MS Azure, Javascript and SaaS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• 5 years of development experience.
• Fluent proficiency in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with IrisBG is a merit.
