Plant Records Meeting 2022: Wider application of plant records

Shuttleworth, Swiss Garden, Bedfordshire

We were glad to see the PlantNetwork meet in-person, for the first time since 2019, and continue discussions about the value of and other applications for plant records. IrisBG attended virtually this year participating as a sponsor and as a presenter.

Thanks to all organisers (opens in a new tab) and especially thanks to the speakers and all participants for sharing and providing great topics and discussion. Our presentation gave highlights from the IrisBG and Garden Explorer. We talked about how smart thinking when using plant records can enhance visitor engagement.

Our presentation topics include:

• Overview of the GE
• Explore in your own language
• Promote your collection on SoMe
• Make a tour using volunteers
• Donor Development
• Features
• Searchable Themes
• Simple HTML

Please reach out to us if you want to learn more about using Garden Explorer with your collection or how to enhance your existing Garden Explorer at hello@irisbg.com.

We hope to see everyone at the next Plant Records Meeting in 2023!
